‘Bridgerton’ renewed for seasons 5, 6, season 4 to premiere in 2026
— Will it finally be Eloise’s love story that unfolds in Season 5, following her bohemian brother Benedict’s romance with the mysterious Lady in Silver in Season 4 of “Bridgerton,” set to premiere in 2026?
This is one of the questions raised after Netflix renewed the hit series adaptation of Julia Quinn’s novels for two more seasons.
In the manner that it has announced the show’s seasons so far, the Ton’s tatler, Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews), broke the good news early this week.
“It is with great pleasure I can announce ‘Bridgerton’ shall return for seasons 5 and 6. Do celebrate accordingly,” the announcement read, coming in the form of a letter framed by wisteria, a signature of the mysterious gossip columnist, whose identity has been revealed to be Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlin).
Apart from the good news of two more seasons, Netflix also announced that season 4 will hit its platform in 2026.
The fourth season will finally see the Cinderella romance between Bridgerton’s second-oldest male bachelor, Benedict (Luke Thompson), and the mysterious Lady in Silver (Yerin Ha), who turns out to be Sophie Baek, the illegitimate daughter of an earl.
In Season 3, Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) meets John Stirling (Victor Alli) and his cousin Michaela (Masali Baduza), which generated quite a buzz on how the show introduced Michaela and her influence in Francesca’s story as written in the books.
The fifth season would likely be tackling Eloise’s romance (Claudia Jessie) with Sir Phillip Crane (Chris Fulton), who was already introduced in the first season. In the books, Eloise, considered a spinster at 28 in Regency London, forms a friendship through letters and eventually marries the widower Phillip.
