Collin County Home & Garden Show Kicks Off This Weekend With Cooking Classes and Birds

The 11th annual Collin County Fall Home & Garden Show returns to the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen on Sept. 20-22. Here’s the best news: admission and parking are both free this year.

This annual event is a one-stop shop for home improvement and gardening needs, bringing fun activities for the whole family and opportunities to explore an array of products, services, and solutions under one
roof, from builders and remodelers to custom pools, spas, and more.

The show features a huge Kids Zone with free family-friendly activities including:
● Free kids cooking classes (pre-registration required) and live cooking demonstrations.
● Make-and-take crafts including Halloween pumpkin sunglasses, birdhouses, Scooby Doo activity kits and more, while supplies last.
● A Pet Zone featuring live Birds of Prey shows from the Blackland Prairie Raptors, SPCA Mobile Adoption Trailer (Saturday only), continuous dog training demonstrations and animal rescue organizations.
● Art, gift, and gourmet marketplace to discover delicious finds.

Master gardeners’ seminars and “Ask the Expert” sessions on various gardening topics will be featured throughout the weekend. Guests can browse a diverse array of home improvement exhibitors for every corner of the home – from kitchens and baths to sheds and solar panels.

The Collin County Home & Garden Show also features a huge tree, plant, bush, and flower sale, perfect for any seasonal landscaping needs, as well as a free tote bag from Marvin Windows, while supplies last.

The event is open to the public from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center (formerly Allen Event Center,) ,200 E Stacy Rd No. 1350, Allen.
