An Instagram user’s heartwarming story has touched the hearts of many, leading to a viral outpouring of support from people across the country.
The story of Ramayya Uncle, who runs a tiny shoe repair shop, was first brought to light by a woman who manages the Instagram page “Leia the Golden Indie.” In December 2023, she shared a touching post about the cobbler, praising his selfless care for stray dogs and cats. The post quickly gained traction, and earlier this month, she organized a fundraiser to support him, which received overwhelming support from netizens eager to contribute.

She continued, “It might seem like he doesn’t have much, but what he gives is everything he has. Thanks to him, 15 community animals have a safe place to stay and know they are loved.”
