Hindi na pinalawig pa ni Pangulong Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. ang termino ng mamamahayag na si Paul Gutierrez bilang director ng Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS).
Ito ang nakasaad sa liham ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin kay Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla na may petsang Setyembre 12, 2024 na kinumpirma rin ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cesar Chavez.
“I thanked President Marcos for the opportunity to serve under his administration even for the brief duration of 1 year and 14 weeks since my appointment on May 25, 2023,” sabi ni Gutierrez sa isang statement.
“His decision to continue with the PTFoMS is the clearest message to all that he is committed to creating a safe media environment where every member of the press can practice their profession responsibly, professionally, and without fear,” dagdag ng dating pangulo ng National Press Club (NPC).
