Update: Pre-registrations for the new tablets are now live. Only Samsung India appears to be taking registrations for now, but that should change soon.

Original story follows:

Gather ’round, Samsung fans! The company appears mere moments away from making one of its last big unveilings of the year. Samsung is about to open pre-registrations for a new Galaxy AI-powered Galaxy tablet – most likely the Galaxy Tab S10 series.

Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra pre-registrations start September 17

According to the banner you see above and below, courtesy of Samsung India, pre-registrations will open today, September 17, and close on September 25. But nothing is official until it is, so let’s wait and see.

Although the banner doesn’t outright state the “Galaxy Tab S10” name, we can easily tell by the background render that we’re looking at the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, as the Ultra series remains Samsung’s only tablet featuring a notch for the front-facing cameras.

The banner suggests that prospective buyers in India will soon be able to pre-reserve the new Galaxy Tab for INR 1,000 ($12), and by doing so, they’ll get benefits worth INR 3,499 ($42).

This information corroborates a previous leak that stated the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra will be released globally on September 26. Whether other markets besides India have plans to open their pre-order windows today remains to be seen.

Only two new tablets, and a different chipset

Although Samsung’s high-end tablets barely change with time, this year, the Galaxy Tab S10 series is poised to go through some interesting restructuring.

One is that everyone expects Samsung to have shelved the base model and release only the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra.

The other big change should consist of a MediaTek chip. Every sign so far indicates that, instead of using a Snapdragon SoC as usual, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S flagship series will switch to a MediaTek SoC.

Otherwise, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 tablets are expected to look roughly the same as the previous models with no massive design changes save from a new color scheme that accentuates the S Pen area and camera rings.
