San Miguel U-turns from Sheldon Mac, brings back Jordan Adams

JORDAN Adams is returning as import of San Miguel, at least for the meantime, following the underwhelming performance of Sheldon Mac on Wednesday in the PBA Governors’ Cup.

Team manager Gee Abanilla confirmed that Adams will once again be the import of the Beermen in their next game against Phoenix on Friday after Mac took over the position for Wednesday’s game against NLEX.

SPIN.ph, though learned that Mac is still in the country and can still be tapped as import with San Miguel weighing its options as to who their guy will be for the rest of the conference.

The Beermen will be bringing back Adams even after management decided to take in Mac, with head coach Jorge Gallent saying that they made a switch in order to match up better with imports such as Justin Brownlee of Barangay Ginebra and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson of TNT.

Under PBA rules, however, Adams can no longer return if he is to be replaced again.

Mac didn’t have huge numbers in his first outing with San Miguel after finishing with 16 points, one rebound, one assist, one steal, and one block in their win over the Road Warriors.
