What’s One Change Fortnite Needs to Revert?

Which Games Made You Fall in Love with Gaming?

Some people fall in love with gaming as soon as they pick up a controller, but for others, it can take a special kind of game to help ignite that passion. I first started playing games like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic The Hedgehog when I was three or four years old, but it wasn’t until a few years later that I really started to fall in love with gaming. The first video game that really drew me in was Final Fantasy Mystic Quest: a dumbed-down JRPG designed specifically for Western audiences. It was pretty basic when compared to a mainline Final Fantasy game but perfect for a six-year-old who was still new to the genre. A few years later, I got my hands on Pokemon Blue, and the year after that, Shenmue. From that point onwards, I was completely hooked on video games and have remained that way ever since.

Should Soulslike Games Have Easier Difficulty Options?

Many players have been put off by the difficulty of games like Elden Ring and have asked for easier difficulties to be introduced. While I can understand this perspective, Soulslike games are expected to be more difficult, just as cozy games are made to be easier (not saying it’s a valid alternative to a Soulslike), and the market is big enough that titles can cater to their specific audience and focus on meeting their expectations.

Which PS1 Horror Game Needs A Remake?

While some PS1 horror classics like Resident Evil have received remasters or remakes, most of the games are still largely stuck on the console. Square Enix should give Parasite Eve and its sequel full remakes. They could be great.

What is Your Go-To RPG Character Class?

Whether you have to select one explicitly at the start of the game or just organically build it yourself as you play, which direction do you generally go? I personally love being a stealth/archer character, but it largely depends on how satisfying I find the archery mechanics. Something about Skyrim’s archery just hit the spot, I haven’t found one quite as immersive since.

If You Could Only Play Three Games For The Rest of Your Life, What Would They Be?

There are plenty of considerations to be made for such a tough decision, but with three options you could easily cover a number of genres to pique your interest. Facets like replayability, difficulty balances, originality, and how immersive the virtual world is would all be considered. It wouldn’t be unusual to see the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 5, or Baldur’s Gate 3 make a few lists, but live service games like Fortnite or indie simulators like Stardew Valley would also not look out of place.
