Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Set For 2025 Release On Nintendo Switch

Capcom has announced that Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will launch on the Nintendo Switch in 2025. This compilation, revealed during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, will bring together a range of classic fighting games, including Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 and Power Stone 2. In addition bringing the classic gameplay of these titles to new and returning audiences, this collection will feature new enhancements such as online play and various quality-of-life improvements.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will include the following eight titles:

  • Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
  • Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001
  • Capcom Fighting Evolution
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER
  • Project Justice
  • Power Stone
  • Power Stone 2
  • Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein

The collection will offer several new features, which include:

Online Play: All eight games will support online play with rollback netcode, ensuring a smooth and stable multiplayer experience.

Training Mode: Available across all titles, the training mode includes numerous customisable options to help players hone their skills.

Expanded Language Support: The collection will support 14 languages, including English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, French, and more.

Art and Music Galleries: Players can explore a wealth of content in the art and music galleries, featuring official artwork, concept art, design documents, and other previously unreleased materials.

Customisation Options: EX Settings tailored to each game, various display filters, and button customisation will allow players to personalise their gameplay experience.

Mid-Game Saves: This feature will enable players to save their progress at any point.

Gameplay Improvements: The collection will include various balance adjustments and quality-of-life improvements across all titles.

Additionally, it was also confirmed that MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is scheduled for release on 22 November 2024, also on the Nintendo Switch. This collection will feature iconic titles like X-MEN vs. STREET FIGHTER, MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 2: New Age of Heroes, and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, complete with the inclusion of the hidden character Norimaro (available on the Japanese ROM).
