Last month at Galaxy Unpacked 2024 in Paris, Samsung refreshed its smartwatch lineup and released a familiar-looking Galaxy Watch 7 and a somewhat controversial and very different-looking Galaxy Watch Ultra.

These smartwatches couldn’t seem any different, but as we demonstrate in our latest comparison video, they share more in common than people might realize at a glance.

If you haven’t yet decided which Samsung smartwatch you want and would like to see an in-depth comparison between the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7, we have the right video for you. Below, we take a close look at these two smartwatches side-by-side and explore what makes them similar and what sets them apart.

For example, they have the same fitness and health tracking capabilities powered by the new BioActive sensor. Even so, you might prefer one or the other based on design, how you’d interact with each of these devices, or whether you want to dive with your smartwatch.

We won’t spoil the video for you, but if you check it out, you might realize that even though one of these smartwatches can withstand more pressure than the other, you may not need that little extra.

You might also be surprised that both smartwatches not only offer the same health features but also comparable battery life, even though one of them will outperform the other.

Sometimes, it does seem like the Galaxy Watch Ultra is a bit greater than the sum of its parts and does have a few advantages over the Galaxy Watch 7. However, depending on your perspective, it can go the other way around, as the Galaxy Watch 7 has the upper hand over the Ultra model in other respects. In the end, they really are cut from the same cloth.

We recommend checking out our video for more details, and you will know all you need to know to decide which one of these two smartwatches you should spend your hard-earned cash on.
