Samsung Expands Circle to Search To Galaxy A & Tab S9 Series

Samsung has now expanded the Circle to Search feature to more devices including the Galaxy A smartphone series and Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablet lineup.

The feature, developed in partnership with Google is AI-enabled allowing users to quickly search information about subjects (object or text) in an image by simply drawing a circle around them. This comes at a time when Samsung has been promising to make the feature more available to more of its users across the world by rolling it out to older Galaxy devices.

“These updates unlock new possibilities for the Galaxy A series and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series and reinforce our commitment to providing cutting-edge technology for more Galaxy users,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics.

“We are dedicated to bringing best-in-class AI technology to a broader audience, empowering users with the option to work more efficiently, create more freely and enjoy richer, more personalized interactions with their devices.”

The Circle to Search feature is also now able to recognise music like Shazam, something that was recently added to it. However, as this is a Google-led rollout, note that it’s not necessarily the case that all Samsung devices with Circle to Search that have that specific Google app version would get the new feature.
