ITANAGAR, Aug 25: A new book titled ‘A Guide on Home Gardening in East Kameng district, authored by Dr Ajum Bagang, was released by DNGC principal Dr. M. Q. Khan in botany department here recently.
Conveying his deep admiration for her dedicated works, Dr. han lauded the efforts to uplift status of home gardens as a sustainable source for a better future. He stressed the need of more such research by DNGC fraternity to serve as a roadmap for sustainable development and assured his support for the cause.
The book is author’s extensive research works conducted on home gardens of people of the district by DNGC assistant professor (botany) Dr Bagnag since 2014. She enlightened the gathering about her research work and credited RGU HoD (botany) of Prof. Sumpam Tangjang, her supervisor, for the success.
