The smartphone market is set to witness the launch of two slim smartphones from two top rivals- Apple and Samsung this year. in the latest Galaxy S25 series.
Ahead of their launch, a leak report has revealed the prices of the rumoured iPhone 17 Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim.
iPhone 17 Air price leak
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to debut under the iPhone 17 lineup this year sometime in September, which is the usual time latest generation of iPhones were introduced by the tech giant in previous years.
As per reports, the iPhone 17 Air will arrive as the replacement of the iPhone 16 Plus. The Plus model does not have a good sales records among the current generation of iPhones. Now, leak reports have suggested that the iPhone 17 Air will be priced in the same range as the iPhone 16 Plus. That means, customers will be able to get an slimmer iPHone model at the same price of the Plus model.
This might be an attempt to boost the sale of the Plus model, which might be known as Air in the future.
Speaking of which, the report also revealed that the iPhone 17 Air will be 6.25 mm thick, which is thicker than we’ve previously heard.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim, on the other hand, will be “mid-6mm” thick, so we assume about 6.5mm.
The Slim is expected to be presented at Samsung’s next Unpacked event taking place later this month, but won’t become available for a few months. Apple’s iPhone 17 Air should launch alongside the rest of the iPhone 17 family in September.
Samsung allegedly hastily started developing the Galaxy S25 Slim after hearing about Apple’s plans for the iPhone 17 Air. The Galaxy S25 Slim is said to be cheaper than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. So it might slot into the range in between the top of the line model and the Galaxy S25+, price-wise.
