Mercy Sunot, one of the main vocalist of the legendary Pinoy rock band, Aegis, was still able to upload a video of her own APT dance challenge on TikTok several days before her operation.

In the video, one can see the Aegis vocalist go through the moves of the fast-paced dance challenge.
She also included a joyous caption in her post, happily asking everyone to let her dance as it was her birthday.
Mercy then thanked everyone who greeted her on her special day.

The Aegis vocalist then included two hashtags in her caption, signifying that she’s a fighter.
“Haha hayaan nyo akong sumayaw moment ko ngayon birthday ko,” Mercy said in her caption.
“Anyway’s sa lahat bumati maraming salamat.#breastcancerwarrior💕 #lungcancerwarrior #yourpage,” the Aegis vocalist wrote.
The date of the video’s uploading coincided with her 48th birthday, which was November 6.
It can be recalled that Mercy underwent a lung operation last week and was still able to post a video update about her condition last Saturday, November 16.
In that particular video, she admitted having difficulty breathing, though was able to appeal for prayers from her fans and followers.
On Monday, November 18, news of her passing broke out early morning on social media, with many not believing it initially because of her last video post showing her able to talk to her fans and followers.
Mercy Sunot is one of the main vocalists of the Pinoy legendary rock band, Aegis. She is known for her vocal power and for singing powerful songs. Aegis is very popular for their songs “Halik,” “Basang-Basa Sa Ulan,” “Luha,” “Sinta,” and many more. The band was able to maintain their popularity in more than two decades in the industry with their songs becoming part of the lives of many generations of Pinoy music.
Among the first to break on social media the news of Mercy’s passing was Frankie Ballesteros, one of the band’s key crew members. Juliet Sunot, the sister of Mercy, also changed her profile photo into one that signifies losing a loved one. It can be recalled that Mercy was able to provide an update about her condition a couple of days ago.
Her sudden demise took the Pinoy entertainment world by surprise. A couple of celebrities and singers joined thousands of Pinoys in expressing their condolences to her loved ones. Among them were Paco Arespacochaga, Jay Sonza, and Saira Bunny Paras. One of the main vocalists of the legendary Pinoy rock band, Aegis, Mercy recently underwent lung surgery.
