According to their Facebook post, Mercy bravely fought cancer.

Mercy Sunot is one of the main vocalists of the Pinoy legendary rock band, Aegis. She is known for her vocal power and for singing powerful songs. Aegis is very popular for their songs “Halik,” “Basang-Basa Sa Ulan,” “Luha,” “Sinta,” and many more. The band was able to maintain their popularity in more than two decades in the industry with their songs becoming part of the lives of many generations of Pinoy music.

Juliet Sunot, the sister of Mercy, also changed her profile photo into one that signifies losing a loved one.

Earlier, Mercy herself gave an update about her condition. In a TikTok video, she tearfully recounted the trial she’s going through right now. She also gave details about the operation she recently underwent and how she’s feeling at the time. The video gained attention at that time.
