Check out EVEN MORE modes in Super Mario Party Jamboree

The Super Mario Party™ Jamboree game comes out Oct. 17, and there’s a lot packed in this game (it is the biggest Mario Party™ yet, after all). We’ve previously talked about three modes—Mario Party, Bowser Kaboom Squad, and Koopathlon—but now it’s time to cover the rest. Let’s do this!

There are new game boards to check, so it might be good to start with Party-Planner Trek. In this single-player mode, you can freely roam across five of the new game boards and play minigames to help set up the party. You’ll collect Mini Stars and complete quests—the ultimate goal being to unlock decorations that you can then place in the Party Plaza. This is a mode for players who want to get familiar with these new boards and like single-player experiences.

To pack more minigames in your day, you can head straight to the bay. There are over 110 minigames to try, and you can play in activities like Tag Match, Daily Challenge, Showdown Minigame Battle, Survival, Free Play, and more. Choose from motion-controlled minigames* or button-controlled minigames.

Number of players: Up to four players can play locally** on the same system or online ***.

You may find that time flies when Mario and Luigi take to the skies! Up to two players** can each use a pair of Joy-Con™ controllers to flap their arms and fly like a Koopa Paratroopa (wait, is that right?!). Challenges include competing to grab as many Para-Biddybuds as possible or working together to help ferry passengers. Or you can just fly around with no rules—hey, sometimes you just want to fly!

It’s time to get loud—this one’s for the co-op crowd! Up to four players on the same system** will need to work together to control some crazy contraptions. What do these machines do, you ask? Well, they make the in-game Mario Party items, like Dice Blocks. Oh, so THAT’S where they come from!

Last but not least, what’s a party without some sick beats and delicious food? Up to four players** can compete in motion-controlled, rhythm-based cooking minigames. Slice, skewer, scoop, and more to the beat!
