Daegu Metropolitan City announced on the 8th that the “2024 Daegu Garden Fair” will be held on the only island on the Geumho River in Daegu.

The five-day fair, which will be held from the 11th to the 15th, will feature a variety of attractions and entertainments, including various garden exhibitions, garden industry exhibitions, garden festivals, and various events.

In the garden exhibition, you can enjoy 108 gardens, including 12 participating gardens created by students, citizens, businesses, and families, 7 gu-gun theme gardens created by the district and county, 9 citizen gardeners, and 40 family gardens.

In the garden industry exhibition, rare plants, the latest horticultural varieties, and garden products are displayed and sold at more than 40 companies. A food zone will also be operated to serve as a resting place for visitors.

Starting with the opening ceremony performance, the fair will also be held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on both weekends and weekdays.

Magic shows and bubble shows are held on weekends when family visitors are crowded, and busking band performances are held on weekdays when there are many general visitors. Various experience programs will also be operated, including making mini topiary, making Sotdae potted plant, pet plant clinics, and experience using cypress trees.

Various photo zones will also be installed throughout the loading road, including major points of the venue, cosmos complexes, water silks, and dapsari communities. Details of this fair can be found on the website of the Daegu Garden Fair.

“The 2024 Daegu Garden Fair” was held as a garden fair where citizens participated directly and focused on improving civil inconveniences, said Ji Ho-jae, director of the Daegu City Environment and Water Resources Bureau. “We will try to make it a substantial event with thorough preparations such as civic convenience and safety management.”
