Gerard Michael Kelly, 65, of Framingham, MA, passed away suddenly on October 5th, 2024 while on vacation with his family.

Gerry was born on August 12th 1959 in Brighton, Massachusetts, the son of Thomas Gerard Kelly and Mary Bridget Kelly (née Donovan).

Gerry graduated from Marian High School in 1978, then went on to Framingham State College, graduating in 1982.

Gerry met the love of his life at Framingham State in 1978, and married Lynn Ann Thompson on October 5th 1985 at St. Bridget’s Parish.

Gerry and Lynn owned their own pet care business; Aú Paws, for the last 32 years, building the business from the ground up to the largest pet care business in the MetroWest area. Gerry worked tirelessly to provide for his family, often working through holidays and summer vacations to give his family the best.

Gerry loved to travel, working relentlessly to take his family on vacations to Bermuda, Italy, Hilton Head South Carolina, and Disney World.

Bermuda held a special place in Gerry’s heart, visiting the island he loved for the first time on his honeymoon in 1985. Bermuda became a regular family vacation destination, and Gerry loved snorkeling, riding mopeds across the island, and spending time with his family on the beach. Gerry was an Irish citizen and spent his 30th anniversary in Ireland with Lynn.

Gerry was a devoted member of St. Bridget’s Parish. Gerry was also a member of the Sons of Erin in Hyannis Massachusetts. Gerry frequently donated to numerous charities including The March of Dimes, the Jimmy Fund, and Buddy Dog.

Everyone who met Gerry loved him. He lit up every room he entered with his humor, sharp wit and gregariousness. Everywhere Gerry went, he would run into friends, striking up boisterous conversations no matter the time or place. Gerry would do anything for his loved ones, often going above and beyond to ensure their safety and happiness.

Remaining to cherish Gerry’s memories are his wife, Lynn; sons, Thompson, Devin, and Collin, daughter-in-law’s Katelin, and Emily, grandson Liam, brother’s T.J, and Danny, sister Mary Pat, sister-in-law’s Lee, and Mimi, nieces Megan, Sarah, and Michelle, and nephews Danny Matthew, Ryan, Tommy, Taylor and Donovan.

Gerry has joined his parents; Thomas Gerard, and Mary Bridget in heaven.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at Norton Funeral Home in Framingham Massachusetts. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10 AM at Gerry’s home parish; St. Bridget Church, 860 Worcester Road, Framingham with Father Mark officiating.

Gerry was a devoted husband of 39 years, an incredible father of 35 years, and a tremendous Crampy for over 2 years. He will be missed enormously by his entire family. Stars that burn the brightest are the ones that are gone too soon, and Gerry was by far the brightest star we have ever known. We love you, my fwee, Dad, Crampy, your light lives on in those who are here to share in your memory. This in not the end, this is until we see you again. “How lucky am I to have someone that makes saying goodbye so hard!”
