This week saw the launch of the fourth and final member in the Galaxy S24 series member with the S24 FE but the regular Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra are still around and Amazon US has them on discount.
The vanilla S24 is down to $719.99 for the 8/128GB trim. This is still one of the best compact Android flagships around with a great 6.2” 120Hz LTPO AMOLED, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a 4,000 mAh battery with 25W charging.
If you want a larger screen and better cameras, look no further than the Galaxy S24 Ultra which can be had for $1,127.62 in its top-tier 12/512GB trim. There’s not much more we can say about the S24 Ultra, it’s one of the best all-rounders in the smartphone market today.
Maybe you’re not that into Samsung’s ecosystem and prefer to get your Android from “the source”. The Google Pixel 9 is available for just over $750, down from its usual $799 retail. It brings the revamped Pixel design, the brightest display in its class (2,232 nits), new Gemini AI features, and its signature Pixel camera experience.
While the iPhone 16 series has been out for a few weeks, deals on the older 15 series phones are still around in the renewed market. Amazon is offering the baseline 128GB iPhone 15 for just under $600. This is still a great compact phone and will continue to receive software updates for years to come.
If you want a larger screen, the iPhone 15 Plus can be had for $65 more than the vanilla 15. Last year’s Plus iPhone delivered one of the best battery endurance scores in our tests and was only outclassed recently by the new iPhone 16 Plus and 16 Pro Max.
