Netizens couldn’t help but rave about Sam Concepcion‘s amazing physical transformation.

On Instagram, the singer-actor posted photos taken from the play Once On This Island, where he is part of the cast and portrays the character of Daniel.

What caught the attention of many was Sam’s muscular frame, particularly his ripped biceps, a striking contrast to his slender physique during his younger years.

“Fell in love with this show. Going to miss being on the island,” wrote Sam in his caption.

He thanked the producer 9Works Theatrical for including him in the production, describing the experience as a “blast.”

Aside from Once On This Island, Sam was also recently seen in One More Chance The Musical.

SAM CONCEPCION: A MULTI-TALENTED ARTIST

Sam formally entered show business after winning the inaugural season of the singing contest Little Big Star in 2006.

Sam has acted in theater even as a young kid. He was part of the stage production for plays like The Lion, Mr. Noah’s Big Boat, and Peter Pan, among others.

He was selected by DreamWorks to record the song “Kung Fu Fighting” for the 2008 animation film Kung Fu Panda, making Sam the first Filipino artist to collaborate with the California-based studio.

The track was featured on the Asian soundtrack album of the movie.

Sam also appeared in film projects such as Shake, Rattle & Roll 9, Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel, Etiquette for Mistresses, Miss Granny, and Martyr or Murderer.

TV viewers saw Sam in the shows Super Inggo, I Love Betty La Fea, Angelito: Batang Ama, and The Killer Bride, among others.

He also had a stint as a VJ in ABS-CBN’s music channel, MYX.
