Rolando Plaza, also known as “Rastaman,” submitted his certificate of candidacy for senator in the 2025 elections.

The senatorial aspirant filed his COC on Saturday, October 5, at the Manila Hotel, according to a post by Philippine Star.

“Ang medalyon natin para hindi tayo ma-bully ng ibang bansa, kailangan may medalyon tayo: Panginoon at kasangga na ibang bansa,” said Plaza.

To recall, Plaza filed his COC for senator in 2019. However, he was disqualified after being declared a nuisance candidate.

It also worth noting that Plaza took the internet by storm after dubbing himself a “half-human, half-zombie” in an interview.

However, due to his current health condition, he was not able to file his COC personally. Instead, he was represented by his wife, Dr. Liza Ong, and their legal counsel. It can be recalled that Doc Willie has recently announced that he is battling abdominal cancer.

Vilma Santos-Recto and her two sons, Luis Manzano and Ryan Recto, have filed their certificates of candidacy. The veteran actress and politician will be running for governor of Batangas, while her eldest son, actor and host Luis, will be running for vice governor. Ryan, on the other hand, will be running for congress, specifically for representative of the 6th District of Batangas.
