3 nabbed in Consolacion drug bust

THREE men were detained at the temporary custodial facility of the Consolacion police station after being arrested in a buy-bust around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, in Barangay Garing, Consolacion town.

The suspects were identified as Pablito Ermac Oliveros, 36, a mechanic who was the target of the operation and a resident of the same barangay, along with his alleged accomplices: Christopher Torrefiel Lim, 45, a resident of Barangay Nangka, and Geronimo Allera Tomongha, 29, from Barangay Tugbongan, also in the town of Consolacion.

Confiscated from them were packets of shabu weighing a total of 200 grams, with a standard drug value of P1.3 million.

According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Eunil Avergonzado, chief of the Consolacion police station, Oliveros worked as a mechanic but was also moonlighting as a drug courier in exchange for a large amount of money.

They received reports linking the suspect to illegal drug activities, particularly noting that his supply involved large volumes. This prompted authorities to place him under surveillance for several weeks.

After gathering enough information, police conducted a transaction by posing as buyers and successfully arrested the suspects in the drug bust.

Charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 were filed by the Consolacion police against the suspects. (AYB)
