Super Puzzled Cat Coming To Steam

Penguin Mug Games have announced their 2D puzzle platformer Super Puzzled Cat is coming to Steam in January 2025. Developed for nine years, the game contains a huge number of careful constructed puzzles and challenges purr-fected over its development time. There’s good news for those who can’t wait to enjoy this passion filled project too, as there is currently a Steam Demo available!

Super Puzzled Cat is a platformer that allows you to use save states at will, allowing you to experiment with different pathways and strategies without losing progress. Help Puzzled Cat use jetpacks, portals, bombs, gum, and more to conquer treacherous platforming stages. Play your own way using save states to explore a world full of challenges and secrets – but can you find the way through? Travel through time and space and reach enlightenment. The levels are designed to look simple, but hold many hidden challenges.

SP, developer of Super Puzzled Cat said about the news: “I’ve wanted to make games from way back, playing SNES games as a kid,. Playing games like Final Fantasy 6 and Super Mario World weren’t just fun for the gameplay themselves, I remember looking at the carts and really wanting to do it all myself. I created the first prototype for Super Puzzled Cat in two weeks and knew it was great. I made about 90 levels and the core systems in this time, like the save states, the replay system, and so on. I thought it would take six months, and nine years later, we have a game! A lot of that is because I’ve still been working full time – none of us were ever full time on this project, so it became this thing we built up slowly on the side, adding all the crazy thoughts we’ve had to it over years and years.”
