This month sees the release of the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster for PS5 and PC, leading to an older version of the game getting pulled from the digital storefronts.
Considering the remaster will be hitting physical and digital store shelves on October 31, the Epic Games Store has already delisted the PC port (as reported by VGC). When additionally checking out the Steam listing, it too has been rendered unavailable for purchase. Viewers are instead encouraged to buy a bundle for both the Zero Dawn Remaster and Forbidden West.
In addition to VGC’s speculation that the EGS delisting was made to avoid gamers exceeding the $49.99 price by paying the $9.99 upgrade, fans may recall Sony doubling the $19.99 price of Zero Dawn. This was done a few days after the September State of Play event. However, what is the original game’s listing when viewed on the PlayStation Store?

The game is not available for purchase through the PS5’s PS Store despite being among the majority of PS4 games backwards compatible on PS5. On a final curious note, Zero Dawn appears to still be available for purchase on the PS Store’s desktop site. Zero Dawn was a PS4 exclusive back in 2017, with the PC port available on Steam and the EGS since 2020.
