Chito Miranda, in a recent Instagram post, clarified why he’s frequenting a gym to work out.

In an explanation-laden post, the Parokya Ni Edgar frontman said he’s not doing it so he would look good in the eyes of many.

“May gusto lang ako linawin. Hindi ako nagji-gym dahil gusto ko pumogi o maging macho…matagal ko nang tinanggap na hindi mangyayari yun✌🏼😅 (at matagal na akong mayabang para magpa-pogi pa hahaha),” Chito said.

He then said that he just wants to be healthy for his family.

“I go to the gym kasi gusto ko maging healthy para sa pamilya ko. Yun lang yun. Ganun lang ka-simple,” the Parokya Ni Edgar frontman said.

Chito explained he embraced a healthy lifestyle because he wanted to be as strong as possible for his family and live as long as possible.

“I embraced a healthier lifestyle because I want to live longer and be as strong as possible, as long as possible, dahil ayaw ko iwan ang pamilya ko ng maaga,” he explained.

The PnE frontman then stated that his frequenting the gym would also help achieve one of his lifelong dreams, and that is to grow old with Neri and travel together.

“Gusto ko tumanda kasama ni Neri at makapag-travel kami ng hindi nagrereklamo na pagod na ako maglakad,” the PnE frontman said.

“Gusto ko makipaglaro sa mga anak ko na hindi nagrereklamo na pagod ako,” he further said.

“Gusto ko sila kargahin hangga’t pumapayag sila magpakarga, at makipag-sabayan sa basketball or hiking pag teenagers na sila,” Chito also said.

He then reiterated that he wanted his family to enjoy the best version of himself.

“I want my wife and kids to be with the best version of myself na kaya ko ibigay sa kanila. Neri needs a healthy husband. My kids need a healthy dad. …becuase my family deserves the best ❤️,” he declared.

“AKO ang mag-aalaga sa kanila…not the other way around 🤟🏻😎,” Chito firmly concluded in his post.

Chito Miranda is a famous music artist known as the frontman of the iconic OPM band Parokya Ni Edgar. On December 13, 2014, he married Neri Naig, an actress and entrepreneur in the Philippines. They have an adorable firstborn named Miggy. In October 2021, Neri gave birth to their second child, Manuel Alfonso Miranda, whose nickname is Cash.

Chito’s wife, Neri, recently turned a year older and wiser. Chito Miranda then took to social media to share a photo giving a glimpse of Neri’s simple yet memorable birthday celebration at home. In the caption, Chito also penned a heartfelt birthday message for his wife. The Parokya ni Edgar frontman expressed how the thought of growing old with Neri excites him.

Neri also took to Instagram and shared a lovely video of her husband, Chito. The Parokya ni Edgar frontman arrived home with a lovely bunch of flowers and a cake. Neri said that she gets so “kilig” especially when Chito would bring flowers without any reason. She even praised the effort of her husband, and called him that he truly is the Mr. Suave.
