The lawyer of Guo said that she will be filing her COC next week, particularly on Tuesday, Oct. 8, which is the deadline for submission of COCs.
Courts still have to decide whether the dismissed Bamban mayor is really a Filipino or not.

Alice Leal Guo was the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac, and was eventually dismissed. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.
Yesterday, September 23, Guo underwent a sputum test to determine if she has tuberculosis. This came after the result of her X-ray from the medical examination of the PNP showed a possible lung infection. The sputum test results was released by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). It showed that the results of the test were negative.
It can be recalled that a previous medical finding showed that Guo may be suffering from a lung infection. The BJMP spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Joseph Bustinera told Super Radyo dzBB that it was what was discovered on the X-ray on the medical exam conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP). Because of the lung infection, she will be moved to a cell where three inmates suffering from tuberculosis are isolated. Bustinera said that the doctor also noted that the existing inmates have been treated for a month already.
