Bengaluru to Host Premier International Dog Show This Weekend

BENGALURU: The Royal Canine Drools Crown Classic is set to host a grand international dog show on October 5th and 6th at the Veterinary College grounds in Hebbal, promising to be one of the largest canine events in South India this year.

During Thursday’s press conference, Mrs. Rajalakshmi, President of the organizing committee, announced that the prestigious event will showcase more than 600 dogs representing over 60 breeds from across India and neighboring countries. “This exhibition represents the growing sophistication of India’s dog breeding and showing community,” she stated.

The event has attracted a distinguished panel of international judges, including renowned experts Wendy Slater and Michelle Hammond from Australia, Sumiko Ikeda from Japan, and Al Ferugiaro from the United States. Their presence underscores the show’s growing importance in the international dog show circuit.

Participating breeds will range from popular companions like Labradors and German Shepherds to more exotic breeds rarely seen in India. The show will feature various competition categories, including breed-specific judging, obedience trials, and best-in-show competitions.

Beyond the competitive aspects, the event aims to educate the public about responsible pet ownership, proper breeding practices, and the importance of maintaining breed standards. Various vendors will be present, offering premium dog products, veterinary consultations, and grooming services.

Interested participants can register for the event through the official website, www.dogsnshows.com. The organizers expect a significant turnout from both participants and spectators, making it a must-visit event for dog enthusiasts in the region.
