New Off-Leash Dog Park opens in Thorold

The City of Thorold is excited to announce the opening of our first off-leash dog park located at 1884 Beaverdams Road. The official ribbon cutting is planned for October 8 at 3:00 p.m. at which point the name will be revealed. The new park will provide a safe and fun environment for dogs and their owners to socialize, exercise, and play.

The dog park features a fenced area for off-leash play with two separate entrances; one for small dogs and one for large dogs, plenty of free parking, benches and solar lights for evening playtime with your pets.

“We’re thrilled to announce that Thorold’s first off-leash dog park is officially opening” says Mayor Terry Ugulini. “I want to express my gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Lipscombe for their generous land and bench donation which has allowed us to facilitate the build of our dog park.”

“The opening of the new off-leash dog park aligns with the City’s ongoing efforts to create more vibrant and inclusive neighbourhoods, as outlined in our strategic plan,” says Manoj Dilwaria, Chief Administrative Officer. “This new park is an ideal spot for dog owners in our community to enjoy outdoor recreation time”.
