I can’t answer that question, but I can sing E33’s praises and echo the sentiment that the colossal success of this turn-based RPG is very well deserved. Sandfall Interactive’s JRPG-inspired masterpiece was a success from the word go. Expedition 33 managed to sell a staggering 500,000 copies just 24 hours after going live in April, and it’s only gotten better from there. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 even dwarfs the seven-day launch figures of many other similar games, too. It beat out Metaphor Refantazio, FF7 Rebirth, Persona 5 Royal, and Like a Dragon 8 on Valve’s platform, and now it’s just had another huge achievement.

I’ve checked it myself, and sure enough, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 came out exactly 33 days ago. If that’s not fate, I’m not sure what is. Expedition 33 continues its climb as a game of the year contender, with huge sales and a very positive reception from players and critics.
