Lotlot de Leon seeks legal protection against online bashers

The law firm representing Lotlot de Leon asked the public to respect the actress’s personal life and to refrain from besmirching her reputation and the memory of her mother, Nora Aunor.

In a statement, Estur and Associates emphasized that they will not tolerate online abuse or invasion of their client’s privacy.

“We understand the public interest in Ms. de Leon’s life is high, but we urge everyone to respect her boundaries and allow her the privacy she deserves,” the statement reads.

“Any concerns or issues regarding Ms. de Leon will be addressed through proper channels and forums, and we will not engage in online debates or respond to personal attacks.”

“WILL PURSUE ALL AVAILABLE LEGAL REMEDIES”

Lotlot has been in the public eye in recent weeks after her mother’s passing, the multi-awarded actress Nora Aunor.

The veteran actress dubbed the “Superstar” died on April 16, 2025, of acute respiratory failure.

She was 71 years old.

Nora’s passing has drawn renewed public attention to her relationships, especially those with her children.

Nora and her ex-husband, fellow actor Christopher de Leon, had one biological child, Ian de Leon, and four adopted children, including Lotlot.

Following her passing, Lotlot and her siblings have paid homage to their mother by sharing heartfelt memories from their childhood and touching moments they shared with her over the years through social media.

While many fans appreciated the tributes from Nora’s children, others criticized Lotlot and her siblings, accusing them of showing appreciation for their mother only after her passing.

This may have prompted Lotlot to hire a law firm to protect herself from malicious statements and speculations.

“As the eldest child of our National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, Ms. Nora Aunor, Ms. de Leon vows to protect the dignity of her mother and take the necessary steps to safeguard the rights and interest of herself, her family and her siblings, including taking action against any online harassment, cyber bullying, defamation and all acts which tarnishes and besmirches the reputation of the family,” stressed Estur and Associates in its letter.

“We will not tolerate any form of online abuse or invasion of her privacy and will pursue all available legal remedies to ensure that her rights are protected and respected.”
