This gorgeous gaming PC build is a sci-fi stunner with serious Tron vibes

In my opinion, a truly great PC needs to look as beautiful as it runs, and this gaming PC build is able to do both. Its design and color scheme make it a sci-fi styled marvel that would look impressive on any gamer’s desk, and wouldn’t look out of place in the Tron universe.

This is a PC build that does more with less, relying less on extensive modifications and instead using standard parts to create an incredible-looking system. The RGB lighting is the best feature here, managing to keep things lit up without going over the top, while the custom PC water cooling setup is left deliberately understated, despite its serious cooling potential.

I spotted this particular build in a post on builds.gg, where builder Fox Lab has showcased the full extent of the work to create this PC. While I’ve already mentioned the fairly straightforward approach deployed here, that isn’t to say that the builder hasn’t made some interesting design choices. Most significantly, this builder has ignored what I would consider to be a usual design technique in their custom cooling setup.

While most builders might use the cooling system itself to direct the color scheme, this PC build is much more subtle, instead using opaque and rather understated piping and coolant that the Lian Li Strimer cable loops over, almost as an inconvenience. The Strimer, a strip of RGB lighting that fits over your PSU cable, is a popular choice in builds like this, and it’s used to great effect here for some extra pop of brightness over the Nvidia GPU.

Instead, the custom-built loop is almost purely for functionality, with nine different sections helping to keep the Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU as cool as possible. The build, along with very carefully laid cabling, is all neatly presented inside the Lian Li case, with the distribution panel at the front acting as both a water cooling necessity and another nod to the sci fi-esque nature of the design itself, especially with the RGB lighting providing some emphasis of the panel’s clean lines.

Where the builder has made modifications to the design itself, you can’t really see them. A lot of the internal add-ons, such as the RGB lighting controls, have been carefully hidden behind a plastic shroud, hidden at the back, and kept well out of sight. Aside from the Lian Li Strimer, there’s barely a cable in sight, making it one of the tidiest gaming PC’s I’ve seen in a while.

Specs wise, this build comes with a delidded and overclocked 24-core Intel Core i9-13900K CPU, along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card. That leaves plenty of power for serious gaming on this PC that, thanks to that well-designed cooling loop, won’t struggle to stay cool.

This is an unusually cool build for me. It’s heavy on the RGB, but without the need to light up every single component — the colors are just enough to catch your eye on all the right spots. There’s even a display placed in lieu of the usual exhaust fan at the back, adding some additional RGB into the mix. Kudos to the builder, who has taken an otherwise quite simple PC design and elevated it well above the norm.
