CONGRESSWOMAN Girlie Veloso was proclaimed on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the congressional representative of Malasakit@Bayanihan Partyl-ist following the party’s victory in the 2025 midterm elections.

Her election signifies a focus on advocacy-driven legislation for solo parents, public health, and people-centered governance.

The Malasakit@Bayanihan team expressed gratitude for the voters’ support, attributing their victory to the party’s core principles: “Malasakit sa tao, bayanihan sa kapwa, at pagmamahal sa bayan.”

Veloso, with her experience in the executive branch and community work, will prioritize legislative initiatives that strengthen support for solo parents, expand access to health services, and promote people-centered policies.

Veloso’s congressional seat comes at a time when vulnerable sectors seek responsive, human-centered policies. Her team emphasized that the victory mandates pro-people and pro-poor initiatives.
