It is worth noting that as of this writing, two climbers have died in the March-May climbing season of the world’s highest peak.

Engr. Philipp Santiago II, a 45-year-old Filipino mountaineer, passed away at Camp IV while preparing for the summit push on the evening of Wednesday, May 14.

Meanwhile, India’s Subrata Ghosh, 45, died on Thursday, May 15 below the Hillary Step while returning after reaching the peak.

In his post on Sunday, May 18, Xian wrote a meaningful remark on the deceased climbers.

“Walang masama kung mamatay ka while trying to reach the summit of Mount Everest,” the social media personality penned.

He went on to compare them with people who don’t want to achieve anything in life.

“Ang masama eh yung wala ka ng gustong maabot sa buhay at naghihintay na lang mamatay. You’re still alive but deep inside wala ka ng ganang mabuhay.”

On May 4, the businessman and influencer expressed how deeply saddened was over the accidents. The social media personality also penned an earnest message to the families of the victims. In the comments section of his post, Xian reflected on how life is filled with unpredictable moments and urged everyone to cherish their loved ones. His pot came following the tragic Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway incident and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport car crash.

Earlier, Xian Gaza has taken to social media to greet all Filipino laborers as the whole nation celebrates Labor Day. On May 1, Xian penned a Facebook post containing his earnest message for the Pinoy workers. He praised them for their diligence despite the meager wages they bring home. He further lauded them for their enormous contribution to the country’s economy. In the comments section of his post, the social media personality also expressed gratitude to such laborers. “Utang na loob namin sa inyo kung bakit patuloy tumatakbo ang ekonomiya ng ating bansa! Maraming maraming salamat po!” The influencer penned.
