Rhaila Tomakin reacts to 3rd party allegations in Kobe Paras, Kyline Alcantara split

 — Young singer Rhaila Tomakin clarified that she had no involvement in the alleged breakup between actress Kyline Alcantara and basketball player Kobe Paras, calling the latter a good friend of hers.

Individuals linked the singer with Kobe after they were spotted together in Bali, Indonesia last month.

In an interview with the media yesterday, Rhaila clarified that she is not a third-party in Kobe and Kyline’s split as when they had already broken up when she crossed paths with the athlete, “Kobe is such a great guy and a good friend, but that’s about it.”

Rhaila did acknowledge understanding how others could misunderstand the situation, but she does not want to invalidate their feelings.

“As Filipinos we have this notion of a ‘three-month rule,’ but it’s 2025 guys, we have same-day delivery now!” Rhaila quipped. “For me, personally, I wasn’t trying to insert myself into anyone’s feelings, it was just a matter of same place and same time. I don’t read too much into it.”

At one point though, Rhaila shared that she, her family, and friends began receiving death threats on multiple platforms, and she heard of such from others because she seldom used social media apps.

“It came to a point where I was scared to come back to the Philippines. But then I realized these people, I’m never gonna see them,” Rhaila said, quoting the saying “An idle mind is the devil’s playground.”

“So to all the people that have time to leave hate or stalk accounts, I suggest that you strengthen your life force, find your passion, and put energy into something that will benefit you because you’re probably never gonna meet me,” Rhaila stated.

The singer did say she and Kobe are still friends and keep in touch, calling the athlete a good support system when the issue blew up. According to her, Kobe acknowledged she was being dragged into the issue because of him.

“It’s so easy to misconstrue something you see online… Everything just gets blown out of proportion,” Rhaila ended.
