Various Marikina Women’s Organizations Have Joined Forces to Rally Behind the Mayoral Bid of Marikina 1st District Rep. Maan Teodoro

The groups—representing sectors such as private schools, zumba communities, families of migrant workers, homeowners’ associations, and grassroots organizations—expressed their full support for Teodoro’s bid, citing her strong commitment to championing a women-centered agenda.

Aida Ogma, an urban poor leader, said the coalition believes Teodoro will build on the gains of her husband, Mayor Marcy Teodoro, particularly in making Marikina a safer and more inclusive city for women.

The groups also expressed confidence in Teodoro’s ability to sustain and expand pro-Filipino programs that support local industries, especially small businesses and entrepreneurs.

The groups are calling on more women to stand for what’s right and for a leadership that delivers with integrity.

The lawmaker has earned the backing of various Marikina labor and youth groups, lauding her dependable leadership, especially during times of crisis such as the pandemic and various natural calamities.

More than 40 Marikina City clans and stakeholders from the shoe industry have also expressed their full support for Teodoro.
