Fortnite features a wide range of different cosmetic items, from popular superheroes to more original designs. Fortnite’s large roster of different skins is often only obtainable via the Item Shop for players who have V-Bucks to spare. However, every once in a while, Epic releases a free skin that players can earn just by playing the game.
One of Fortnite’s many free skins is Katalina, a cosmetic exclusive to those who play Fortnite on mobile. However, there is another outfit players can earn a free skin on whatever device they play on – here is how to get the free Felina Ranked skin in Fortnite.
How to Get the Free Felina Ranked Skin in Fortnite
Felina is a free outfit that players can earn by logging into their Fortnite account before November 11 and reaching 50 account levels. On top of this, gamers can also unlock Felina’s Claw Pickaxe by earning 25 account levels.
For most, this simply involves playing Fortnite and accumulating XP in any game mode – leveling up 25 times to unlock the Felina’s Claw Pickaxe and 50 levels for the Felina outfit. Players can track their progress toward unlocking both cosmetics in the Quests tab in the main lobby. Once the requirements are met, the items will automatically appear in the locker, ready to equip and use.
Currently, the Felina Quests are not showing up for many players, and progress is also not counting. Epic Games is working on a fix, so players can expect to start earning the Felina outfit soon.
On top of simply earning the cosmetics, players can also acquire additional styles for both Felina and Felina’s Claw Pickaxe by playing Ranked playlists. Ranked experiences like Battle Royale and Rocket Racing will each contribute to the unlocking of additional styles, with the style unlock matching the player’s highest rank from Bronze to Unreal. This provides players an extra way to flaunt their rank, regardless of what mode they play in Fortnite.
For players looking to acquire the Felina outfit and Felina’s Claw Pickax fast, modes like LEGO Fortnite can be an excellent way to earn lots of XP, either through simple playtime or by completing LEGO Fortnite quests. Alternatively, getting through weekly and Story Quests in Battle Royale also garners a lot of XP, allowing players to earn account levels in no time — along with acquiring those much-needed Battle Stars to level up the Fortnite Battle Pass.
The offer to unlock Felina and Felina’s Claw Pickaxe is available until December 9, so players only have a limited time to earn both cosmetics for free until they disappear forever.
