Neko Atsume 2 hypes up its upcoming release by revealing the cat-collecting title’s new features

  • Cats can chomp down too hard on toys and break them
  • Visit your friend’s house and vice versa
  • New mystery cats to collect? Sign me up

Hit-Point has finally dropped juicy details on Neko Atsume 2, and finally, all is right with the world. The charming cat-collecting idle game made waves when it first launched to enslave the human race with cute cat overlords, and the launch of the highly anticipated sequel has been pushed back to sometime this fall. Now, we finally have more details on what the sequel has in store for us, and yes, it’s every bit as lovely as I imagined it would be.

In the latest development update for Neko Atsume 2, a plethora of new features have been revealed, including  – as expected – brand new cats you’ll need to lure into your house to add to your collection. You’ll also be able to venture out from your backyard into the actual outdoors, which means Conductor Whiskers will finally have an actual train to conduct as opposed to his old toy train.

To share your love for cats with other cat lovers, you can now invite friends to your backyard or visit theirs. Plus, the toys you leave out for your kitty companions will eventually break down because of too much love, so it’s up to you to repair them to keep those furry felines happy.

There’s a new “My Neko” feature too, which, from the looks of it, is a personal fluff that you can customise to make him or her your own.

I can’t stress how excited I am for this release, but if you’re like me and you need something to tide you over until then, why not take a look at our list of the best idle games on Android to get your fill?
