Local community garden start-up planting day | Announcements

Central Lafourche High School’s FFA chapter was awarded a grant earlier this August with the aspiration of starting a community garden at the school. This 9,000 square foot garden would provide fresh produce to all local families, as an effort to support community needs. 

This cannot come to fruition without the foundation of this garden in place, the plants! 

On September 28th, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Central Lafourche FFA will be hosting a Community Planting Day on Johnny Dufrene Dr, past the visitor’s side of the stadium in the back portion of the practice field.

A day of planting, tilling, collaborating, celebrating and creating this phenomenal asset to our community! All community members are invited, and hydration and snacks will be provided for what will undoubtedly be a hot day! We hope to see you there!
